Conrad Birdie, rock-and-roll superstar, has been drafted into the army!
His agent, Albert Petersen dreams up one last publicity stunt. Conrad will give one farewell kiss to one lucky girl selected from the millions of his adoring fans on the Ed Sullivan Show.
The lucky girl is Kim MacAfee, recently pinned girlfriend of Hugo Peabody. Watch what happens in Sweet Apple, Ohio when Conrad, Albert, and Albert's long-suffering girlfriend, Rose come to town.
