Book, Music and Lyrics by Dan Goggin
The Nunsense Christmas Musical is presented as the first TV
special taped in the Cable Access Studio built by Reverend Mother in the
convent basement. It stars the nuns you love, plus Father Virgil, and
four of Mount Saint Helen's most talented students. Featuring all new
songs including Twelve Days Prior to Christmas, Santa Ain't Comin' to
Our House, We Three Kings of Orient Are Us and It's Better to
Give than to Receive, this show is filled with typical NUNSENSE
humor, some of your favorite carols, and a "Secret Santa" audience
participation. We're certain this NUNSENSE Christmas Show will
make you laugh, and maybe tug at your heartstrings. It's the perfect way
to insure that your holiday season is merry and bright!
This production features
Brianna DiLorenzo, Grace Neibrandt, Clara
Prater and Jennifer Short as the Little
Sisters of Hoboken, Matt Felder as Father
Virgil and Natalie Clark, Cabott Hanes,
Michela Short and Ray Yancey as Mount Saint
Helen students. Set design is by Michael
Teer, costume design by Gail Crockett,
lighting design by George and Joyce
Matthews, sound design by Patrick McLaughlin
and props by Carla Hanes. The production
stage manager is Amanda McLaughlin and is
being assisted by Stewart King. Music
direction is by Lee FitzSimmons with Sean
McBride as video production consultant.
Director Michael Teer has
been a volunteer with VCT since 1992 and the
last two years he has served as Technical
Director, building and designing over 25
shows. He directed VCT’s productions of
Room Service, Over the River and Through the
Woods and Marvin’s Room. After
receiving a BFA in theatre from Stephen F.
Austin State University in 1997, Michael
worked with the Beachwood Theatre Company in
Newport, RI as a historical actor,
recreating life from the 1890’s at The Mrs.
Astor’s “summer cottage” Beachwood. Laura
Klimist, choreographer, has been
choreographing for VCT since 1984, most
recently VCT’s summer hit South Pacific.
She holds degrees in Dance and Education
from SWTSU where she founded the dance
honors program “Orchesis”. Since that time,
Laura has choreographed numerous shows for
VCT and donates time working with students
at VISD and Trinity. The MHS Dance Team – or
Victoriadores – is an ongoing passion with
her dances winning National and
International awards. Laura serves on the
VCT Board of Governors and heads up the
Youth Academy.
